WHAT IS CBG?
What Makes Remedy CBD & CBG Different from the Competing CBD Brands?
We all know about CBD and the extensive list of benefits it's capable of. CBD is good by itself, but when combined with CBG!
That’s the key to our Remedy.
CBG is one of the 113 Cannabinoids found in the Cannabis Plant, like CBD.
Why CBG?
With all the hype CBD gets, it's easy to forget there are 112 other cannabinoids that could potentially benefit your body. After countless hours of research and testing, we believe that CBG is one of those 112 other cannabinoids that has major positive effects. CBG Attaches itself to different endocannabinoid receptors than CBD does, providing a whole new range of benefits for the user. For Example:
- CBD is an AGONIST meaning it initiates a physiological response when bound to a receptor.
- Example: CBD is an epilepsy agonist because it is able to target the receptors and alter a different response to stop seizures.
- CBG is an ANTAGONIST which means it stops receptors from producing a response when CBG binds to it.
- Example: CBG has been known to be a great support in gut health because it is able to help subside troubled areas in the colon from reacting to irritants.
Take a look at this diagram to understand what else these cannabinoids can do once they are processed by our bodies:
CBG is proven to be much more effective in reducing inflammation than CBD. This includes inflammation in the bones, joints, muscles, cells, tumors, skin, intestines, bladder and reproductive organs. CBG is KEY for pain management, which is why we always include it in our everyday CBD + CBG blend.
How Does CBG Work?
To understand the enhanced difference of CBD & CBG, it's important to understand the Endocannabinoid System as a whole.
The Endocannabinoid System is a biological system in the body that involves a combination of endocannabinoids, enzymes, and cannabinoid receptors to help balance key bodily functions. Cannabinoid Receptors are all throughout the body.
Endocannabinoids attach or bind to the receptors, which tells the endocannabinoid system to respond.
The Two Types of Cannabinoid Receptors are:
-
CB1 (Left Side of Diagram): You will find the CB1 receptors mainly in the central nervous system in the spinal cord and brain.
-
Helps Brain, Lungs, Heart, Liver, Pancreas, Muscles & Reproductive Organs
-
CB2 (Right Side of Diagram): The CB2 receptors can be found in the peripheral nervous system and in immune cells.
-
Helps Immune System, Bones, Spleen, Liver, Pancreas & Colon
Experts theorize that when a system in the body is out of balance, the receptors bind to the cannabinoids (CBD & CBG) to help correct the problem.
CB1 vs CB2: Why Does It Matter?
We know CBD acts as a mild agonist in the CB1 and CB2 receptors. This means that everything you see on the diagram above can be influenced by CBD. However, CBG is different and more complex. CBG is known to be an antagonist in CB1 receptors, meaning all of the body parts listed on the left of the diagram that have pain are able to be manipulated by CBG to help stop the pain. CBG is also an agonist for the CB2 receptors. All of the body parts listed on the right side of the diagram can experience effects such as a boosted mood, joint pain relief, and a more efficient digestive system by simply attaching itself to the receptor and altering the response from your body, which brings you relief.
To summarize, our body is already qualified to handle cannabinoids naturally. With such important roles in the nervous system, CBD & CBG both are easily processed to help bring you relief anywhere you feel pain. Understanding the endocannabinoid system will help you make the best decisions when it comes to buying CBD Products.
What Happens When You Use Remedy Products?
You can consume CBD in a variety of different ways. The main two ways you can ingest CBD is sublingual/oral ingestion and topically on the skin.
4 Sublingual Tinctures to Choose From:
GOOD MORNING | DAILY | GOOD NIGHT | IMMUNE BUILDER
CBD & CBG Topicals are products that you apply on the skin. These products don’t enter the bloodstream directly. They are absorbed by endocannabinoid receptors in the skin attaching to the nerves that are sending you pain signals. Topical Products can be useful in finding relieving joint pain, alleviating back aches, soothing sore muscles, calming irritated skin from sunburn, shingles, & psoriasis, while facilitating targeted pain relief for those with arthritis.
Different Topicals for Different Needs:
ROLL ON | COOLING CREAM | TRANSDERMAL PATCHES | SUNSCREEN
Gummies are a tasty and fun way to consume our CBD & CBG formula. Gummies deliver our CBD & CBG formula into the digestive system. Effects are felt slower than the sublingual tincture, but with gummies, the strength of the effects last longer. Gummies are very versatile and could benefit those suffering from anxiety, depression, ADHD Symptoms, and insomnia, to bowel issues, muscle pain, achy joints and migraines. Gummies are great for first timers!
The One & Only:
REMEDY CBD & CBG GUMMIES
Knowing how your body absorbs the cannabinoids is an important step in finding the Remedy Product that's right for you. Our Cooling Cream might be best for muscle pain, the Good Night Tincture is probably better for those who are tossing and turning at night, while the gummies are most likely best at calming your anxiety before a big date. If you’re looking for CBD Products, it’s important to know which method of absorption is best for you.
Here’s an example of what happens in your body when you ingest a Remedy CBD & CBG Gummy:
FIRST: The gummy goes to your stomach. The stomach acts like a gatekeeper and directs where the cannabinoids (CBD & CBG) will go next.
SECOND: The stomach moves the gummy into the small intestine where it will be absorbed and sent to the liver.
THIRD: The cannabinoids in the gummy are metabolized by enzymes in the liver to prepare your body’s cells for the incoming cannabinoid.
FOURTH: The liver releases the metabolized cannabinoid into the bloodstream, where it attaches itself to endocannabinoid CB1 & CB2 receptors in the body.
FIFTH: Once the cannabinoids attach to the receptors they can help ease the irritated region of the nervous system resulting in pain relief.
Remedy CBD & CBG Products are made naturally because our bodies process CBD & CBG naturally. Because of this, we truly believe our products are some of the best for the relief of anxiety, general pain, sleep disorders, muscle aches and more. These two cannabinoids come from the same plant; yet have different benefits and are used by the body in different ways. This is why we say “The Enhanced Difference of The Power of 2”, because CBD by itself is cool, but CBD & CBG together can help give you the results you have been looking for with absolutely NO euphoric high.

CBD 101: LA Times
“CBG, or cannabigerol, is nicknamed “the mother of all cannabinoids” because it’s converted into THC and CBD as the cannabis plant matures. In addition to being touted for its CBD-like effects, including anxiety and pain relief, studies in animals have shown promise in relieving the symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease, slowing the growth of colorectal cancer cells and battling glioblastoma”

NFL Seeks Information on CBD to Replace Opioids
“The NFL considers cannabis a banned substance, although the most recent labor deal loosened the rules about players using marijuana. CBD, which comes from cannabis but does not have an intoxicating effect, has been widely promoted as a safer alternative to opioids as a painkiller, and the league and players’ union are working on establishing uniform standards for pain management practices employed by team medical staff.”

CBD, CBG & Bones
“In animal studies, CBD has been shown to enhance healing of bone tissue and protect against bone loss. Preclinical trials demonstrated certain phytocannabinoids increase bone maintenance and healing. For example, one study showed a significant increase in collagen crosslink ratio by CBD, which – may lead to improvement in fracture healing and demonstrate the critical mechanical role of collagen crosslinking enzymes. Therefore, [Dr.] Carl Germano (CDN) emphasized, ‘in addition to calcium, magnesium, vitamin D and boron – phytocannabinoids should be at the core of any nutritional protocol addressing healthy bones and bone mass loss.’”

Nausea & Vomiting Relief with CBD & CBG
“There is plenty of evidence suggesting that the endocannabinoid system can be an effective target in the protection from chemotherapy-induced vomiting, whereas the effect on nausea seems to be limited. It is assumed that the endocannabinoid system inhibits emesis physiologically, by activating the CB1 and CB2 receptors localized in the dorsal vagal complex of the brainstem where emetic reflexes are located. After the discovery of CB1 and CB2 receptors and the discovery of specific cannabinoid receptor agonists and antagonists, the cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system are under intensive scientific interest.”
